3L is a Year 3 class with 26 pupils. The class is taught by Mr Lett with assistance from Mrs Durkin and Miss Head.
This term our topic is Great and Ghastly Events. The children will learn about volcanoes, how they are formed and erupt. The children will be able to increase their understanding of the world and talk about the effects that volcanic eruptions have on people's lives.
During the second half of the term, we will be finding out about Henry VIII and the Dissolution of the Monasteries. We will research the facts behind this ghastly event and write our own reports. The children will visit Furness Abbey and learn more about the monks and the abbey.
During the spring term we will be reading Charlotte's Web. The children will use the story to write character profiles, letters of persuasion and their own stories about Wilbur and his friends. After half term, we will write reports linked to our topic work on Henry VIII.
