Before and After-School Clubs

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club takes place in the Breakfast/After-School Room. It is provided free of charge to all pupils from Reception onwards thanks to generous funding by the Greggs Foundation. Children who attend Hopscotch Pre-School in the morning are welcome if brought and supervised by an adult.

Breakfast Club opens at 8.00 and closes at 8.35am when pupils are allowed to go down to their classrooms.

Two members of our support staff supervise children and serve:

  • toast
  • a selection of cereals
  • fruit
  • yogurts
  • cereal bars
  • fruit juice
  • milk
  • hot chocolate
  • items on 'special' days - croissants, scotch pancakes, pancakes, beans on toast etc.

Parents who wish to accompany their children are more than welcome and we gratefully appreciate voluntary parental help in exchange for breakfast and a cup of tea or coffee!

Children coming to Breakfast Club are provided with a range of activities to do including Lego, drawing, colouring and reading, preparation for Healthy Tuck shop, homework support etc.

All children are expected to sign in using the registration form.

After-School Club

After-School Club takes place in our Hopscotch Pre-School is provided for pupils from Reception onwards and is available every day from 3.15 to 5.30pm which parents are able to use flexibly. We charge between £3.00 to £5.00 per child, per day (see our information leaflet below).

Depending on numbers, one or two members of our support staff supervise pupils in After-School Club.

Children coming to After-School Club are provided with a range of activities to do including arts and crafts activities, reading, Lego and construction activities, computer-based games, traditional 'family' games etc.

Parents wishing to make use of After-School Club must pay for the facility in advance of each session. It is helpful for staffing numbers if we know in advance when you wish to use After-School Club.

Parents collecting their children are asked to come to the outside door of the Breakfast/After-School Room and not the main school entrance.
