Welcome to Cambridge Primary School website.
We hope that the information you read on the site gives you a taste of what we are about. For parents and carers who wish to find out more, and who are looking for the 'right school' for their child(ren), we would encourage a visit to the school and meeting staff and pupils face-to-face.
We pride ourselves on building trusting, caring relationships which encourage and support pupils to challenge themselves, to find out more and to work together to be the very best that they can be. We design exciting learning opportunities to develop knowledge and understanding, to inspire interest and enthusiasm and to give pupils experiences they may not otherwise have.
Cambridge Primary is a community school that has wonderful facilities and opportunities for all ages. There are pre-school, nursery, infant, junior, family and adult learning areas within the school.
We have 10 large classrooms, a hall, canteen, library, music and baking rooms, and other open teaching spaces. Upstairs, we have a computer room with fifteen computers which are used by pupils for ICT lessons and for ICT across the curriculum.
We have several outside areas, including outdoor learning opportunities for younger and older children. We have a large dinnertime playground which we share, with large apparatus to climb on, a wooden fitness trail and smaller equipment and markings. In addition, there is a large school field and other grass play areas: a wildlife/nature area; a garden where we grow fruits and vegetables; a tree lined corner garden and a car park for staff and visitors. Located in the school, we also have Abbotsmead Community Development Centre (CDC) which consists of a large computer suite and teaching areas for the use of adult learners.
We are proud of our developing modern and traditional site that has been re-modelled in recent years. There are new facilities, equipment and opportunities available for all.
We look forward to meeting you, sharing experiences, opportunities and achievements.
